Being a DDD cup size (same as F cup size) means that the difference between your bust measurement (measured at the center of your breasts where they’re the largest) and your band measurement (measured right under your boobs) is around 6 inches (15 cm).

DO NOT ADD 4-5 INCHES to your measurement, as this is outdated advice. This was a method that was once used, but it’s no longer common. The issue is that it’s still sometimes used to measure the band size. If you stumble on an online resource advising you to add 4-5 inches to your band, just ignore it.
The next step is to measure your bust size. To do this, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust, making sure the tape measure is parallel to the ground. Make sure the tape measure is not too tight or too loose.
Finally, to calculate your cup size, subtract your band size from your bust size. If the difference equals 1 inch, you’re an A cup, if it’s two inches, you’re a B cup, and so on as shown on the table below. Following the table, if the difference is 6 inches (15 cm), you’re a DDD cup size (F cup size).
For example, if your band measurement is 38 inches and your bust measurement is 44 inches, your bra size is 38DDD (equal to 38F). If your band measurement is 44 inches and your bust measurement is 50 inches, your bra size is 44DDD.
In both of these examples the cup size was DDD. This is because the difference in both is 6 inches.
Note that the “number” part of the bra size is always equal to the band measurement. The only thing you need to calculate is the “letter” part (cup size).

The DDD cup size is very large, which is generally perceived as attractive by a lot of people. They can also give you self-confidence and increased self-esteem.
